The sun’s out! It’s unbelievable after weeks and weeks of torrential rain – suddenly we realise what it’s meant to be like in mid-May! Who can think of a better, refreshing drink for a warm spring day than zingy homemade lemonade (plus Big S loves all things lemony and zingy and she is having anything she wants to eat and drink this weekend!) This is the easiest recipe, just make sure you have the time for it to cool!
Zingy Homemade Lemonade (dairy-free, egg-free, nut-free, sesame-free, peanut-free, gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan)
makes about 800ml
- Juice of 3 or 4 lemons
- 80g caster sugar
- 750ml boiling water
– Mix together the lemon juice and sugar.
– Pour over the just boiled water and mix to dissolve the sugar
– Keep in the fridge until cold. Serve with ice if liked.
– Will keep for a couple of days.
